You’ve got more Pinterest boards than you can count crammed with beautifully finished rooms and perfectly plated food. You swoon over the jaunty angles of a mid-century chair or a masterpiece in shiplap (because come on, who DOESN’T love shiplap?). You drool over gorgeous cheese boards and impossibly pretty desserts and “Ooh” and “Aah” over adorable photo backdrops and props in party-perfect themes. And you think, “I could do that…but how?”
We used to ask ourselves the same question. And eventually we’d asked it so many times, we just HAD to finally answer it.
We’re not professional carpenters, decorators, party planners or chefs. We’re just average modern homebodies who decided to stop just pinning and to start doing–DIY style. That journey has led to some pretty crazy things, from tiling 1,600 square feet of floor (and counting), to making mountains of macaron, building an antique wood fireplace mantle, to throwing an epic Disney princess themed party for a grown woman and a whole lot more. Through it all our house, our limbs, and (miraculously) our marriage has survived.
